Overview


Once an account has been created in the Pureport console, billing details must be setup to provision a connection.  This documents will cover the various steps of the Pureport Billing process including Setup, Payment Changes, and Reviewing Bills.


Setting up a New Billing method


Note: In order to provision a connection in the Pureport console or via API, billing must be configured for your account.  If billing has not been provisioned, you will be prompted to complete this task before provisioning a connection.


Prior to setting up a new billing method, be sure to have a Pureport account created and a User with permissions to modify the billing.  


  1. Sign in to the Pureport console


  2. Click on Billing under Account Administration


  3. Click on the "Add a new payment method" button


  4. If you wish for the payment method you are about to enter to be inherited by any child accounts you create, select the check box to enable child accounts to use this method.  This will allow the billing to role up to this single payment method preventing each child account from needing to re-enter the same details.


  5. Enter in the following details to setup the payment method:
    1. Account Holder Name
    2. Billing Email Address
    3. Billing address (you can search for the address in the search box and select the address to auto populate the required fields).


  6. Click the associated Radio button to select your billing method. Pureport supports the following billing methods:
    1. Monthly Autopay using a Credit Card on file.
    2. Monthly Autodraft using a Bank Account (ACH) on file.


  7. Once you have selected your payment method, additional details to complete the payment setup will load on the screen.  
    1. Autopay - You will need to enter your credit card details.  
    2. Autodraft - You will need to enter your bank account and routing information, account type, and permission to draft payments from your account.

  8. Once all relevant information has been entered, select save by clicking the disk icon in the top right corner.

Note:  When using the Autodraft payment method, your account will be charged with two small transactions (less than $1 each) when the payment method is saved. These transactions are used for validation of the account, once they are reflected on your account, you will need enter the values of both transactions in the Pureport console to confirm the verification.  This can be done by clicking "Verify" on the Autodraft payment method after it has been saved.  Once the verification process has been completed, the Autodraft payment method can be set as the primary payment method.


Changing a Billing method


If you need to change your billing method for any reason, the process is made simple in the Pureport console with only a few steps.  Simply follow the steps above to enter the new Billing method in the console.  Once completed, click the delete button next to the prior method to remove it from the system.  Once this is completed, your billing will be routed to the newly entered payment method.



If you wish to keep your previous payment method on file, you can set the preferred payment method by clicking the star associated with the desired payment method. The star set to gold indicates that it is the preferred method for payment.



Viewing your Bill estimate


The pureport console page provides a convenient way to review an estimate of your accumulated charges for the current billing cycle.  This view provides an estimate of billing up to the current point in time of the billing cycle and will continue to be updated until the billing cycle closes and the bill is finalized.  To access this view simply follow the steps below.


  1. Sign into the Pureport console page with an account that has billing privilege's
  2. Click on the Invoices option under Account Administration


  3. In the top left corner, select "Upcoming".


  4. The screen will refresh with a view of the draft invoice for the current billing cycle


  5. To review the draft line items and see a breakdown of the billing, simply click the arrow next to the date of the current billing cycle.



Viewing a finalized Bill


The pureport console page provides a convenient way to review finalized invoices for previous billing cycles.  This view will display the final bill amount, line items from the invoice period and allow you to download a PDF copy of the final invoice.  To access this simply follow the steps below.


  1. Sign into the Pureport console page with an account that has billing privilege's
  2. Click on the Invoices option under Account Administration


  3. In the top left corner, select "Finalized".


  4. The screen will refresh with a list of invoices for completed billing cycles.


  5. To review the invoice line items and see a breakdown of the billing, simply click the arrow next to the date of the current billing cycle.  To download a PDF copy of the invoice, simply click the download icon associated with the invoice.
